With this project I was asked to come up with an interesting concept to design and make for an entrance hallway to a private house. The style took reference from traditional decorative plasterwork and stucco ceilings. The white cast plaster leaves were designed to look as if they had been blown in thorough the door and windows. These were set on a background of an olive green pigmented plaster that had flecks of chopped hay running though it, giving it all a natural soft look. The plaster corners were all rounded which helped emphasise the natural feeling and look.
The lighting continued with the leaf theme with up lighters made from cast gunnera leaves and spotlights on the ceiling shaped as leaves. These gave a strong directional light to highlight the detailon the leaves and cast strong shadows.
